Blueberry Crumble

Single-Serve Blueberry Crumble

Ingredients

For the filling:

  • 3/4 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch

For the crumble topping:

  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon rolled oats

  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon cold unsalted butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the blueberries, cinnamon, sugar, and cornstarch.

  3. Spoon the filling into a greased 6-ounce ramekin.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, oats, salt, and sugar.

  5. Add the cold, cubed butter and use a fork or your fingers to work it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  6. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the blueberry filling.

  7. Place the ramekin on a baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the filling is bubbling.

  8. Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, plain or with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
